Make Easy and Organic Ginger Bread Cookies - Recipe

This time of year we have so little time - work is overwhelming us, kids need their time after school, we are just in the middle of planning and preparations for Christmas. We all try to keep the form but there is one day in a year when we should Let It Go. It's a world Ginger Bread Day that we celebrate today, on December 9th. 

Some time ago Naturalbox has discover something special for you, a real sweet dainy for baking. I'm talking about organic Ginger Bread Dough that was launched just at the end of November in the great bakery in Stockholm - Bakery & Spice - placed by Torsgatan 46.

What's wonderful about it is that it's organic, natural and ready made for use. All the ingredients - mixed together and formed in the piece of cake, nicely wrapped in a stylish paper. The black & white logo of Bakery & Spice gives a nice finish touch. This ginger bread dough looks very modern and luxury.

All you need to do is preparing it for baking. Follow the steps below: 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4. Line two baking trays with greaseproof paper.
  2. Place the dough between 2 sheets of baking paper and roll out until about 3 mm thick. Or roll it out on some flour without a paper. Use a gingerbread man cutter or any other shape to cut out shapes. Our favorite shapes are: christmas tree, heart, star and piggy.
  3. Place on trays about 3 cm apart. Repeat with any excess dough.
  4. Bake in oven for 5-7 minutes or until lightly golden-brown color - but not very dark - then it might be too late because the butter get burned easily. Remember that the cookies don't have to hard when they're hot in the owen. They harden when they cool.
  5. Remove from oven. Leave on the tray for 10 minutes and then move to a wire rack to finish cooling. When cooled decorate with the writing icing and cake decorations if you like.
